How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage (as a decimal). For example, a 20% discount on $100 = 100 × 0.20 = $20 discount.
What if there are multiple discounts?
Apply each discount to the result of the previous one. This is why our calculator has an optional 2nd discount field for accurate multi-discount calculations.
Can I calculate the original price from discount?
Yes, if you know the final price and discount percentage. Simply work backwards: Original Price = Final Price ÷ (1 - Discount %)
